Helen is the host of Haslem Cottage.
Helen is a semi retired teacher who loves to travel and meet fellow travellers from different cultures and places around the world. Helen has three (now grown up sons) and has lived in Kyabram for over 40 years. Helen grew up in Melbourne and has also lived and worked in the US. Two of the boys have moved to far off places ... Perth and Japan, so there is room for you to share.
Haslem Cottage is a welcoming space where you will feel at home (and even a little pampered). You will have your own space, but Helen will be there to ensure all your needs are met.
Interaction with guests
Helen lives in an adjoining part of the cottage. However the guest area is private. Helen will ensure that guests have a relaxed and comfortable stay. She will meet guests on arrival and be available to assist during your stay as much or as little as you need.
Guest access
Once a booking is secured for a single guest, a couple, a group or family, no other bookings will be taken for that date. Guests will have PRIVATE access to all spaces, have secure off street parking, and their own entrance. Guests will also have access to laundry facilities if required.
Haslem Cottage provides free WIFI/internet and NETFLIX.
The neighbourhood
Kyabram is a thriving country town of 10,000 people in the Goulburn Valley of Victoria. It is located close to the Goulburn, Murray and Campaspe rivers and is a short drive to the Waranga Basin. Haslem Cottage is located within walking distance to a variety of shops cafes hotels and eating places.
Guests may chose to eat down town or eat in. Kyabram is also the home of the Kyabram Fauna Park, again within walking distance. It has the second largest collection of Australian Fauna in Victoria. It also has a popular sheltered picnic/BBQ area and children's playground.
Kyabram boasts a popular Town Hall Art Gallery and a Water tank Mural and picnic site at the old Kyabram Railway Station.

Getting around
Haslem Cottage is conveniently located only 3 blocks from the Transit Centre, with the bus or train being an easy commute from Melbourne.
